📖 A New Chapter for Horse Creek Academy 📖
As many of you may remember, when news broke last year about the closure of Limestone College, all Limestone Charter Association schools were informed that a new charter authorizer would be needed for the 2026–27 school year. After thoughtful planning and conversations, we’re excited to share that Horse Creek Academy will be transitioning to the South Carolina Public Charter School District as our next charter authorizer.
💙 We will continue operating under Limestone Charter Association through June 30, 2026, and will officially begin our partnership with the South Carolina Public Charter School District on July 1, 2026. We are incredibly thankful for the support, collaboration, and care Limestone has shown our school community over the years and for the strong foundation they helped us build.
💛 Looking ahead, we’re excited about this new partnership. The South Carolina Public Charter School District’s student-first focus, strong systems, and commitment to accountability align closely with who we are and how we serve students at Horse Creek Academy. This transition allows us to continue growing thoughtfully while staying rooted in our mission and our Village.

Our HCA PTO's Elementary Girls Dance is happening January 17th from 5–7 pm, and it’s going to be a night full of sparkle, fun, and disco magic!
To make sure every family can participate, we’ve reimagined the traditional father–daughter dance into a “grown-up and me” celebration. It’s a special chance for our elementary girls to make memories with one important adult in their lives — whether that’s dad, a grandparent, a guardian, or a family friend. 💙💛

Thank you again for your patience and flexibility during yesterday’s unexpected water main break. We’re excited to share that our 3rd and 4th Grade Winter Concerts have been rescheduled for Thursday, December 11!
✨ New Performance Times:
🎤 4th Grade: 9:00am
🎤 3rd Grade: 10:30am
We know these students have been eagerly waiting to shine, and we cannot wait to celebrate their hard work and holiday spirit after the unexpected delay. It’s going to be a beautiful morning of music and joy! 💙💛❄️

💧Good news — the water issue has been fully resolved, and we are all set for a normal day of school tomorrow!
🎺 Tonight’s Middle/High Band Concert is still happening at 6 PM, and we can’t wait to cheer on our performers! 🎶

⚠️ Because of today’s unexpected closure, there are a few lunch updates for tomorrow. Please check your email for all the details, especially if your student ordered Chick-fil-A or pizza.

❗️HCA Families — Important Update for Today (12/4), mandatory dismissal 10:15am❗️
We were just notified of a water main break in our area, and the water company has informed us that our campus will be without water for approximately four hours. While we currently have limited water access, it will continue to decrease over the next hour.
📣 All students (Elementary, Middle, and High) will dismiss early today beginning at 10:15 AM.
Please make plans to pick up your child through the regular car line as soon as possible.
There will be no After Care today.
🎶 Elementary Winter Concerts at 10:30am and 12pm will be rescheduled. We will share new dates as soon as they are confirmed.
🎺 At this time, the 6pm Middle/High Band Concert is still scheduled, and we will update you immediately if that changes.
