It’s almost time for HCA’s Annual Literacy Night—Literacy Land: A World of Reading Fun!
One special evening each year where stories come to life and imagination leads the way.
🗓 Thursday, March 5
⏰ 6:00–7:30 PM
Follow the magic path through books, stories, and imagination—featuring a Book Fair, local authors, library representatives, community partners, and food trucks on-site for the whole family to enjoy.
✨ This event is open to the community!
If you’ve been curious about Horse Creek Academy or wondering what learning looks like in action, this is a wonderful opportunity to experience our campus, our culture, and our Village firsthand.
This beloved annual tradition brings families together to celebrate reading, creativity, and connection—and we’d love to welcome you into Literacy Land. 💙📚
✨ Costumes encouraged. Curiosity required!

💙 At Horse Creek Academy, celebrating our teachers is simply part of who we are — their dedication, energy, and heart shape our Village every single day. This month, we’re excited to launch something new thanks to our wonderful partnership with Chick-fil-A Aiken, who is helping us elevate that celebration in a special way.
🎉 Our very first HCA Teacher of the Month is Mrs. Ashle Cooper! 🎉
🩺 Mrs. Cooper, our Sports Medicine Teacher, is an incredible example of what makes HCA educators so impactful. She is not only a great teacher, but also someone our students and staff know they can rely on — consistent, supportive, and genuinely inspiring in the classroom.
👏 We are especially grateful for the role she plays in our CTE program, where students gain real-world knowledge and skills that help prepare them for future careers. Through her work, students don’t just learn content — they gain exposure to pathways, professions, and possibilities.
💙 Mrs. Cooper, thank you again for being such a valued and steady presence in our school community!
HCA Village, help us send a big congratulations her way! 💛

❤️ From our incredible students, to our supportive families, to the staff who pour their hearts into this place every day — Horse Creek Academy is special because of you.
💝 We’re also deeply grateful for our amazing community partners, whose generosity and support help make so many opportunities possible for our students.
💙 Thank you all for being the heart of our Village! 💛

✨ Each month, our students are nominated by staff based on what it truly means to be an outstanding HCA student — living out our pillars of flexibility, service, and connection through their actions, choices, and the way they treat others.
🌟 While it has been an honor to celebrate these students internally throughout the year, we’re excited to take this recognition to new heights thanks to our amazing partnership with Chick-fil-A Aiken. Their heart for community, connection, and service makes them a perfect partner in spotlighting our students.
🎉 Congratulations to our February Stallions of the Month! 🎉
• Carter Mason (4K)
• Riley Washington (5K)
• Julianna Plunkett (1st Grade)
• Julian Buabeng (2nd Grade)

💙 We are incredibly proud of these students and the way they represent our Village each day.
❤️A huge THANK YOU to Chick-fil-A Aiken for investing in our students and helping us celebrate the character, leadership, and positivity that define HCA. This is what connection and service look like in action.
👏 And to all of our Stallions of the Month from earlier this year — and from years past — your impact continues to shape our culture. We can’t wait to celebrate more students next month!

🏀🏆 REGION CHAMPS FOR ANOTHER TEAM AT HCA!

🙌 Let’s show up loud and proud to support our Stallions as they chase the next step.

✔️ You can sign up now
✔️ You can start sharing and raising donations now
⏳ Reading minutes will begin logging on 2/23

🔗 Sign up here:
https://www.read-a-thon.com/readers/r/UDaGXp/1?utm=email
🎉 More excitement than ever: We’re offering more prizes and rewards than ever before this year—check out the full incentive list in the comments 👇
💙 Why this matters:
Funds raised through this year’s Read-A-Thon will support Built to Last, Horse Creek Academy’s next capital project focused on creating permanent, purpose-built spaces that better serve our growing school community. From academics to athletics to the arts, this project helps us build spaces designed for today’s students—and tomorrow’s.
Every page read and every donation made reinforces a powerful message: reading matters, community matters, and together, we can build something lasting.
📖 Let’s get ready to read, cheer on our students, and show what it means to be the Village.
💛 We are the Village.

🌷🐎 Two Fun Spring Events in Aiken—Get Involved & Give Back!
Spring is the perfect time to get out, get involved, and serve our community beyond campus—one of Horse Creek Academy’s core pillars is Service, and we love opportunities that let our families live that out together. 💙
This season, we’re excited to share two great off-campus events in Aiken where families can volunteer, earn service hours, and make a real impact:
✨ Triple Crown Road Race (5K & 10-Mile), March 7th @ Odell Weeks
Help support a meaningful local cause while assisting with race-day needs. A fun way to serve and cheer on runners in the community!
