The weather is looking absolutely BEAUTIFUL this Saturday, and we would love to see our Village show up strong! 💙
🐎 We’re still looking for volunteers for the Triple Crown Road Race on Saturday, March 7 at Odell Weeks. This event supports Great Oak Equine Assisted Programs and is a wonderful opportunity for students and families to give back while earning service hours.
🏃 Whether you’re helping with race logistics, cheering on runners, or assisting with setup, you’ll be part of something meaningful for our community.
☀️ Beautiful weather + a great cause + Stallion service = a pretty perfect Saturday morning.

🐝 Please help us celebrate Joanna Glover, a 5th grader in Mrs. Bryant’s class, who represented Horse Creek Academy at the South Carolina Regional Spelling Bee on February 28, 2026, at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte!
🌟 Joanna competed against the top spellers from across the state and advanced through several impressive rounds with confidence and composure. What an incredible accomplishment!
👏 Even more exciting? This marks the second year in a row that an HCA student has advanced all the way to Bank of America Stadium. We truly are a Village of strong spellers!
💙 Joanna, we are so proud of your hard work, preparation, and determination. Way to represent!

🙌 Read Across the Village Spirit Week and the Spring Book Fair are finally here!

🌟 Our students are reading more than ever during our Read-A-Thon — and the momentum is incredible!
So far, we’ve raised almost $27,000 and logged over 75,000 minutes of reading. That means we are getting closer and closer to our big goals of $40,000 and 100,000 minutes! 🎯
But we can’t cross that finish line without you. 🫵
One of the easiest (and most powerful) ways to help is by sharing your student’s personal reading donation page on Facebook. When you share their link, you’re not just asking for support — you’re celebrating their hard work, their progress, and their love of reading. 💙
📲 Use the link below to share your student’s page with friends and family:
https://www.read-a-thon.com/readers/tool/UDaGXp/3
Every share matters. Every minute counts. Every dollar moves us forward.
Let’s make this our most successful Read-A-Thon yet — because when it comes to literacy, we are the Villag!. 📖💛

🏛️ Our students had the unique opportunity to step beyond the classroom and into the heart of state government, learning firsthand about the legislative process and how decisions are made that impact our communities, schools, and future careers.
💙 A special thank you to Mr. Jacob Wooten for providing leadership and creating opportunities that bring learning to life for our students. Experiences like this perfectly reflect our commitment to real-world learning and student growth.
🌴 While at the Statehouse, our students were honored to meet and engage with Representative Bill Taylor and Representative Charlie Hartz — an unforgettable moment and a powerful connection between education and civic leadership.
We are so proud of these outstanding students who represented HCA with professionalism and pride:
⭐ Rae Johnson
⭐ Luke Johnson
⭐ Gage Cagle
⭐ Garrett Alexander
⭐ Caelen Rowlands
Thank you for representing the Village so well and for embodying the spirit of leadership, service, and growth. 🏇🏻

🧐 Why are we Reading + Raising?
🧱 Because this year, we’re hoping to fund our new capital project, Built to Last.
Built to Last is Horse Creek Academy’s next capital project, focused on creating permanent, purpose-built facilities that match the growth of our students and our school—expanding beyond spaces originally designed for a smaller, younger campus to support academics, athletics, the arts, and community for decades to come.
AMAZING NEWS! We're already raised over $11,000, so we are over 25% closer to our goal of $40,000! 🙌
📲 Register your student in under 2 minutes at https://www.read-a-thon.com/readers/r/UDaGXp/1?utm=email
👋 Then, share their page with friends and family. Every minute read and every donation brings us closer to our goal! Let’s make this happen together!

💙 At Horse Creek Academy, celebrating our teachers is simply part of who we are — their dedication, energy, and heart shape our Village every single day. This month, we’re excited to launch something new thanks to our wonderful partnership with Chick-fil-A Aiken, who is helping us elevate that celebration in a special way.
🎉 Our very first HCA Teacher of the Month is Mrs. Ashle Cooper! 🎉
🩺 Mrs. Cooper, our Sports Medicine Teacher, is an incredible example of what makes HCA educators so impactful. She is not only a great teacher, but also someone our students and staff know they can rely on — consistent, supportive, and genuinely inspiring in the classroom.
👏 We are especially grateful for the role she plays in our CTE program, where students gain real-world knowledge and skills that help prepare them for future careers. Through her work, students don’t just learn content — they gain exposure to pathways, professions, and possibilities.
💙 Mrs. Cooper, thank you again for being such a valued and steady presence in our school community!
HCA Village, help us send a big congratulations her way! 💛

❤️ From our incredible students, to our supportive families, to the staff who pour their hearts into this place every day — Horse Creek Academy is special because of you.
💝 We’re also deeply grateful for our amazing community partners, whose generosity and support help make so many opportunities possible for our students.
💙 Thank you all for being the heart of our Village! 💛

✨ Each month, our students are nominated by staff based on what it truly means to be an outstanding HCA student — living out our pillars of flexibility, service, and connection through their actions, choices, and the way they treat others.
🌟 While it has been an honor to celebrate these students internally throughout the year, we’re excited to take this recognition to new heights thanks to our amazing partnership with Chick-fil-A Aiken. Their heart for community, connection, and service makes them a perfect partner in spotlighting our students.
🎉 Congratulations to our February Stallions of the Month! 🎉
• Carter Mason (4K)
• Riley Washington (5K)
• Julianna Plunkett (1st Grade)
• Julian Buabeng (2nd Grade)
• Brantlee-Marie Thomas (3rd Grade)
• Zoey Charles (4th Grade)
• Logan Thacker (4th Grade)
• Paisley Lanier (5th Grade)
• Mya Cook (5th Grade)
• Ella May (Middle School)
• Kaden McBride (High School)
💙 We are incredibly proud of these students and the way they represent our Village each day.
❤️A huge THANK YOU to Chick-fil-A Aiken for investing in our students and helping us celebrate the character, leadership, and positivity that define HCA. This is what connection and service look like in action.
👏 And to all of our Stallions of the Month from earlier this year — and from years past — your impact continues to shape our culture. We can’t wait to celebrate more students next month!
