⛈️ Due to ongoing weather and flooding concerns from Tropical Storm Debby, we have made the decision to postpone Village Fest. 💙 Please know this was not a decision we made lightly, but the safety of our families is our top priority. Since we serve students from across the CSRA, Midlands, and several southern counties, we want to ensure everyone stays safe, especially given the varying conditions in these areas. 🤞 We will keep you posted on updates for Village Fest, but for now, we are crossing our fingers that we can have it tomorrow! 🎉 We’re thrilled to announce that Village Fest is back on! 🌟 We will see you all tomorrow, August 7th, from 3-6 PM! 🎈 While it’s still a bit too wet for outside activities, we can’t wait to have an amazing time inside the building. 💙 This time, we’ll be wrapping up a little earlier (6pm instead of 7pm) since it's our first school night of the year, but we promise these three hours will be filled with fun, laughter, and Village spirit no matter what time you drop in! ⏰ Performance times and Info Chats in the gym have changed a bit, so check out page 2 of the Map to make sure you're in the know! 🙌 We can’t wait to see everyone there and kick off the school year together. 🌧️ Village Fest is still on! 🎉 ☔️ We've made some rainy-day adjustments to ensure the fun continues. While we did have to cancel inflatables and food trucks, we are still planning a celebration like no other inside our buildings! 👀 Check out the updated map below to see where all the action is happening! ⭐️ Also, did you notice that several awesome groups/teams of HCA Stallions are performing at Village Fest? Check out the second pic below to catch the showtimes in the gym for our cheer, dance, drumline, and Stallion Saxes! 🎤 But that's not all – when the gym isn’t buzzing with performances, we’re hosting some info chats! 💸 As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to remind our HCA families about our two annual fees designed to support your child's educational experience here at the Village. 1️⃣ Enrollment Fee: $50 ---This fee is paid when you enroll, or re-enroll at HCA. If you are a returning HCA family you paid this fee during Continuing Enrollment in December! 2️⃣ Registration Fee: $65 ---Due at the start of each school year, this fee covers essential items such as student agendas, folders, and start-of-the-year technology. 👍 These resources are crucial in helping students stay organized and prepared for their academic journey. 💙 We strive to keep our fees straightforward and affordable, ensuring that your child receives the necessary tools and support for a successful school year. 📲 Just make sure to submit that $65 registration fee by August 16th! 🤩 We've got some fantastic upgrades to our Village Volunteers program for this year! We've made it easier and more rewarding for everyone to get involved and be part of our amazing Village. 👀 Here’s what’s new 👀 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 New Family Expectations: We aim to foster a strong sense of community with these new expectations. They're designed to encourage participation, not to be punitive. Families not meeting expectations will get friendly quarterly reminders and suggestions on how to get involved. 1️⃣Service Hours: -Every HCA Family will complete at least 15 service hours per year: ----10 On-Campus Service Hours: Attend PTO/Board Meetings, chaperone field trips, help teachers, join campus clean-ups, run the school store, serve at PTO events, and more! ----5 Off-Campus Service Hours: Volunteer around Aiken County! We'll post lots of community options on our new website. 2️⃣ Supply Donations: -Every HCA Family will make at least 4 supply donations per year (one per quarter). Donations can be anything from teacher wish list items to general office/cleaning supplies, copy paper, and more! 💙 Already bought things for this year from a teacher's wishlist? Those count, head to the Village Volunteers section on our new website.app to fill out the form! www.hcacs.net/page/village-volunteers 👀 Key Changes from last year: -No More Tickets! 🎟️ Families now have control! Submit your own entries for volunteering and donations via our new online form. No extra website to remember, how easy is that! 💪 We believe these changes will make our program more efficient, engaging, and inclusive for all families.
