💸 As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we want to remind our HCA families about our two annual fees designed to support your child's educational experience here at the Village. 1️⃣ Enrollment Fee: $50 ---This fee is paid when you enroll, or re-enroll at HCA. If you are a returning HCA family you paid this fee during Continuing Enrollment in December! 2️⃣ Registration Fee: $65 ---Due at the start of each school year, this fee covers essential items such as student agendas, folders, and start-of-the-year technology. 👍 These resources are crucial in helping students stay organized and prepared for their academic journey. 💙 We strive to keep our fees straightforward and affordable, ensuring that your child receives the necessary tools and support for a successful school year. 📲 Just make sure to submit that $65 registration fee by August 16th! 🤩 We've got some fantastic upgrades to our Village Volunteers program for this year! We've made it easier and more rewarding for everyone to get involved and be part of our amazing Village. 👀 Here’s what’s new 👀 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 New Family Expectations: We aim to foster a strong sense of community with these new expectations. They're designed to encourage participation, not to be punitive. Families not meeting expectations will get friendly quarterly reminders and suggestions on how to get involved. 1️⃣Service Hours: -Every HCA Family will complete at least 15 service hours per year: ----10 On-Campus Service Hours: Attend PTO/Board Meetings, chaperone field trips, help teachers, join campus clean-ups, run the school store, serve at PTO events, and more! ----5 Off-Campus Service Hours: Volunteer around Aiken County! We'll post lots of community options on our new website. 2️⃣ Supply Donations: -Every HCA Family will make at least 4 supply donations per year (one per quarter). Donations can be anything from teacher wish list items to general office/cleaning supplies, copy paper, and more! 💙 Already bought things for this year from a teacher's wishlist? Those count, head to the Village Volunteers section on our new website.app to fill out the form! www.hcacs.net/page/village-volunteers 👀 Key Changes from last year: -No More Tickets! 🎟️ Families now have control! Submit your own entries for volunteering and donations via our new online form. No more worrying about lost tickets or matching numbers! -Village Volunteers Website: Our program now has a dedicated space on the HCA Website and App, accessible from the Menu. No extra website to remember, how easy is that! 💪 We believe these changes will make our program more efficient, engaging, and inclusive for all families. Our amazing PTO (Parent-Teacher Organization) is the perfect opportunity for you to make a difference. 💙 Whether you have a little time or a lot, there’s a place for you in the PTO. 🚔 HCA is thrilled to be working closely with the Aiken County Sheriff’s Department on June 17, 18, and 19. On these days law enforcement staff will be utilizing Building B for important training exercises. While this training is nothing to be alarmed about, please note that Building B will be off-limits to all staff, students, and visitors on these days. 📚 Events in Bld. A (Quest Zone and Credit Recovery), the Cottage (Summer Reading Camp), and Gym (Summer Basketball and Volleyball Conditioning) will proceed as normal, but please be aware of the special training occurring onsite.
