Twenty-five HCA students will perform with Foreigner on Saturday, September 19, 2026, at Bell Auditorium in Augusta, Georgia, giving the young performers the opportunity to be part of a major touring production in front of a live concert audience.
Under the direction of Joyce Culp, the HCA students selected to participate are Kimber Atkinson, Presley Bennett, Evie Chambliss, Sabrina Copeland, Mary Ellis Crook, Elayna Fox, Skylar Hamacher, Annabelle Harris, Blakely Heverly, Leah Jordan, Eve Kranenberg, Annabelle Lord, Cassie McCrady, Leyla McDonald, Krow Morris, Journey Paulino, Makari Phillips, Harper Price, Eli Roberts, Alecia Simpkins, Eliza Snellings, Landon Thacker, Makayla Vincent, Annabelle Volk and Vesper Yarshen.
“Mrs. Culp and our Village Players have worked incredibly hard to grow and strengthen the performing arts at HCA,” said Dr. Ann Marie Taylor, Chief Vision Officer at Horse Creek Academy. “To see that work lead to an opportunity like this is incredibly special. Our students are going to stand on a professional stage alongside an iconic band, and I know this will be one of those experiences they remember for the rest of their lives. We could not be more proud of them!”
The performance comes during a milestone year for Foreigner, with the band’s 50th Anniversary Tour celebrating five decades of music. For the Village Players, the experience will offer a behind-the-scenes look at the preparation, scale and professionalism involved in a major live production — followed by the unforgettable opportunity to step onto the stage themselves.
“As a theatre director, you are always looking for opportunities that allow students to experience performing beyond the walls of the classroom,” said Joyce Culp, HCA Theatre Teacher and Director of the Village Players. “This is certainly one of those moments. To perform on the Bell Auditorium stage as part of Foreigner’s 50th Anniversary Tour is an incredible opportunity, and I’m so excited for our students to experience the energy, preparation and professionalism that come with a production of this scale. I hope they walk away knowing that their hard work and talent can take them to places they may never have imagined.”
The opportunity is another milestone for HCA’s growing fine arts program and part of the school’s larger focus on connecting students with meaningful experiences beyond the traditional classroom.
“At HCA, we talk a lot about creating opportunities for students that extend beyond a traditional school experience,” said Sarah Morris, Chief Impact and Communications Officer at Horse Creek Academy. “Sometimes that looks like leadership, service or career exploration — and sometimes it looks like singing with Foreigner at Bell Auditorium! This is a pretty remarkable example of what can happen when talented students, dedicated teachers and meaningful opportunities come together.”
