Elementary Team

April Windsor will be teaching second grade this year. She has been teaching for over twenty years and has experience in grades 2nd, 3rd, and 5th. Most recently she spent the last nine years as a K-2 Early Reading Interventionist. She is looking forward to returning to the classroom.

She earned her bachelor's degree from USC-Aiken in 1997, her master's degree in Divergent Learning from Columbia College in 2006, and a Specialist Certification in Reading Recovery from Clemson University Early Literacy Training Center in 2013. “I feel that teaching is my calling and I love the fact that I get to help nurture and grow the hearts and minds of young children.”

In her free time she loves to travel with her husband, Chris, and their four wonderful children when possible. Her older son, Blake, is in the Navy and older daughter, Hannah, is in Nursing School at USC-Columbia. Her daughter, Kaylan, is a high school senior and her youngest son, Evan, is in tenth grade. She also loves reading, going to church, spending time outdoors, and laughing with her friends and family.

“I am super excited to get to know you and your child this year.” “I am looking forward to a fun year of learning and growing together.”
